“Esaote has shown itself as a real trailblazer with its Ultrasound and MRI systems. Partnering with them to expand our portfolio is a significant step for PMI, which results in even better products for our customers,” Bill Haussmann, CEO for Prestige Medical Imaging, said in a statement. “With the Glassbeam partnership, we’re able to expand our software offerings to our clients, Glassbeam machine data analytics solution is a game-changer for the healthcare market. This software provides enhanced analytics to view device uptime and utilization reports and improving the patient experience through increased uptime.”

Esaote offers a variety of solutions, including its recently launched MyLab9 eXP ultrasound system, equipped with a new Ultra-engine platform to offer ultra-clarity, performance, workflow for radiology, cardiology, and women’s health in private, clinical and hospital settings.

It also, within the last year, introduced two new extremity MR systems, O-scan Premium for sites that require high throughput, improved workflow and advanced applications; and O-scan Light, for those that require high-quality MR at an affordable price. Another new addition is its Q-Spine software, designed to aid in planning therapy and surgery by providing visualization and quantification of relative biomechanical changes between weight-bearing and recumbent MR lumbar spine procedures.

The collaboration with Glassbeam equips PMI with a cloud-based platform design to transform, analyze and build AI applications from multi-structured logs, and brings to the table machine learning-based analytical software for monitoring uptime and utilization. This allows providers to save on costs and improves patient experience. Glassbeam recently strengthened its own capabilities in this area with the establishment of two new partnerships with CMMS vendor EQ2 and Renovo Solutions.

“The machine may have failed or may be fixed after the failure is found but it’s left up to the human being to go back into the system and say I’ve fixed it and it’s running,” Puneet Pandit, CEO of Glassbeam, told HCB News at RSNA when discussing EQ2’s hospital equipment management system (HEMS). “If you can validate that with the machine – as in the actual performance of the machine, or log data – you’re now, basically, getting a more truthful answer to what’s going on.”
