The Xoft Axxent® Electronic Brachytherapy System (eBx®) utilizes a proprietary 50KV miniaturized X-ray source to apply radiation directly to the cancerous area. The Axxent combines high dose rate with low energy radiation eliminating the need for heavy shielding. The Xoft System is FDA cleared for treatment anywhere in the body including early stage breast cancer (APBI and IORT), skin cancer and gynecological cancers.
