CAUTION Samuel Lehrer is a FRAUD

March 23, 2010 11:54

I invites users to think about an extra time before they deal with Samuel Lehrer from Aesthetic Partners and Thelaseroutlet.com. The man is a swindler.
Recently I bought (I thought) a 2002 MedLite IV for a price a $ 16,500.
After the transfer of money, I heard no more to Sam. Only after threats of lawyers, he returned and assured me that the machine was on its way.
This week I received so the laser, but to my great disappointment, there was a 1993 CynoSure PhotoGenica in the box. CAUTION Sam Lehrer, he is not an honest man!

Jan:

You contracted with Navis (yourself) to ship the system to Denmark.. Navis came and not only inspected and packed your laser, but they also list the correct equipment on the bill of lading.. This is YOUR SHIPPER, not ours.. We are NOT a shipping company. YOUR shipper picked up, crated, took pictures, AND lists the correct equipment on your shipping documents at pick up. We also contacted Navis's Operations manager, (Justin Berrier) and had him come to our facility to discuss this matter PERSONALLY. He stated to us, AND put in email to both of us that he picked up and crated the MedLite IV, as YOU contracted him to do.. He went as far as to show us pictures of the laser as it was crated.. We have supplied you with pictures of the laser crated, copy of Navis's packing documentation stating the correct contents (Again your shipper, not ours), statement from the operations manager at Navis (in email form) that they picked up the correct equipment, and we have offered to help in any way possible. To your statement about an attorney. We have not received ONE SINGLE CALL from any attorney representing you even as of this day. I cannot fathom why you are not asking Navis where the equipment they picked up is.. It makes ZERO sense to me.. ALL the documentation and paper trail show that we did EVERYTHING right.. Your shipper STILL says they picked up the right equipment (In writing no less).. So what happened between here and Denmark.. Thats a long distance, and we cannot control YOUR shipper beyond when it leaves our warehouse, and we collect the correct documentation AND take photos.. All of this has been supplied to you from your shipper, and us.. What else can we possibly do? I don't understand your thought process!! How can we possibly have the answer.. Navis agrees they picked up, crated and shipped out your correct laser.. They MUST be held responsible NOT us. We do not have the answer.. The shipper picked up the correct equipment, and delivered an entirely different piece of equipment. The equipment delivered is 2x the size and weight... Does it not make any sense to you that Navis may have made shipping error.. I don't know what else to do for you. I urge you to push the shipping company to reimburse you for your loss in the event they do not find your shipment. I'm sorry you have had all of this heartache, it saddens me.. I wish you the best, and will continue to support any effort to track down the shipment.

Sam: All your stories are false. I am in touch with others you have also cheated.
YOU have selected shipping company and the chief then has confirmed that it sent to me is what you have provided.
Suddenly you up with new information, an employee of shipping firm has accidentally sent you an email with picture of the correct machine, which he took with his phone.
However, you have a little explaining to do. On 10 Feb. send me an email with the picture of my MedLite IV would be sent "that day". The picture you sent me, as you claimed shipping company driver had taken with his mobile, I have checked and it was taken on 18 January. Your story does not hold water.
Besides all this, I had to fight to get in touch with you after I had transferred money. You were never to take either by mail or telephone.
I do not want to discuss with you on this forum, my post is just to warn others against dealing with you. That you have not heard from lawyer yet do not worry about those working on it ....

I'm sorry this person feels so strongly about Sam Lehrer from Aesthetic Partners and Thelaseroutlet.com as I have nothing but good things to say about the man and his company. He even returned my phone call while on vacation to assure me my handpiece had arrived and Brian was in contact with him about the repairs.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about doing business with this company at eastsidelaser@aol.com

I also purchased a fraxel restore from Sam Lehrer for 23,500. The laser was delivered but without a foot pedal or handpiece. After 3 months of leaving messages and being assured by staff that the laser was on its way, the foot pedal finally arrrived. To my dismay the machine fires and turns on but delivers no energy. PLEASE DO NOT BUT ANY LASERS FROM THIS MAN. HE IS AN FRAUL AND A SWINDLER. HE WILL NO LONGER RETURN MY PHONE CALLS. BUYER BEWARE!!

Ruby:
Here is our position on the issue you post.
1. The system was purchased 6 months ago. Sold as is where is, limited warranty.. See contract.
2. After 3 months from delivery date, you asked us for another foot pedal, we happily sent one at no charge, and paid for shipping. No big deal.
3. Six months later (3 months after asking for another foot pedal), you call and tell us that the machine fully calibrates, has no errors, but "does not treat powerful enough".. VERY strange that it would calibrate but not treat at spec. Lasers don’t normally calibrate, then not treat at full power.. But stranger things have happened, so let’s assume your assessment is correct.
4. I contacted you next day as you asked me to, and agreed to assist you regardless of the contract for sale, the time frame since purchase, and the strange nature of the issue.
6. Our offer still stands to look at the machine no charge. There was limited warranty with the sale as you know, but I am willing to do what I can to get you up and running. I also feel the issue is a relatively simple one. We REALLY want to help you despite the time frame since delivery, and the fact the laser does calibrate. Truthfully, a Fraxel normally would not calibrate, if there was a power issues. Again this is REALLY uncommon. It’s very counter intuitive.
7. I have since done some homework as related to the issue you are experiencing. The issue is one of three things (in my opinion): 1. Just a poor connection between tip and hand piece. 2. A poor connection inside the hand piece, which requires no parts. 3. The control board inside the base needs to be “re-seated”. I have offered to do all three of these at NO CHARGE.
8. I realize your position is that you have not used the laser for six months. I believe you as you seem very honest, but you must understand that waiting that long without testing or using it creates some issues. Despite those issues we are still offering to assist you 6-months post sale.

We purchased a laser Lightsheer ET400 from year 2007. Instead we received non-working laser ET100 from year 2002. Market price of the machine we
received is much less. We had to hire a technician here in Ukraine to fix the laser. The seller lied that the machine was in the working condition, but
it was not. We notified the seller that we received the wrong laser, and offered the option either to take it back or adjust the price - $4,000. He refused.

The Laser Outlet - Sam Leher & Juan Osario

September 01, 2011 06:26

Be very careful with any purchases from this company. I am foolish enough to have made 4 transactions with them and all have gone bad.

1. Sam advertised original Fraxel tips and when I called it was a after market attachment for $3,000 dollars. I purchased and when I installed on Fraxel error code 172 came up which is when system recognizes unauthorized tip installation. My fault for trying this but no fix offered by Sam other than I have never heard of that occurring. Now I am spending $20,000 for recertification.

2. Needed a Pearl Handpiece and negotiated a price of $4,750 from Sam Leher. Then called by the Vice President of the company who stated I had to pay more. I objected but due the fact Sam Leher is listed as president but was in a bad place with Pearl treatments scheduled so I had to fork over another $400.00 to receive hand piece.

3. I negotiate a purchase with Sam for a Cutera XEO with Pearl activation and but no pearl handpiece. I wired all funds and hear nothing for 3 weeks. Also note I have text from Sam with shot counts of around 265k and a purchase order with serial number that does not match the one I received. Finally after nearly 4 weeks of waiting I receive my laser and the serial numbers don't match, it has over 500k shots, the cooling fan makes awful noise, it has Pearl module but no software installed. Juan offers for me to ship back and he would sell to someone else and then refund my money!!! I stated send me another and I will send it back in that case.

4. Juan calls me in need of a Titan XL handpiece. I have one and overnight to him with agreement he send me an in new condition ProWave hand piece. WELL IT IS NOW 2 MONTHS LATER and you guessed it no hand piece. Last week I sent Juan an email demanding he FedEX my handpiece by 8/24/2011 or I will be in my attorneys office on Thursday. Well you guessed it I have no handpiece yet and no incoming communication. I am the idiot on the handpiece for trusting after 3 failed attempts at business with this firm.

Look closely at all their listings and note how many lasers with updates for stock photos. There is one for a laser just out of probate from death of a doctor. This laser has been gone for months but gets updated as if it is still available to get new customers. They broker what they don't always have in stock. I would demand a serial number and picture of any products verses a stock photo from Google Images.

Here's my update regarding my experience with the Laser Outlet and Sam Lehrer & Juan Osario. Sam texted me and promised a followup phone call but never did and when I called would not answer phone calls. Juan on the other hand seemed to be very helpful and genuine with trying to resolve. Juan made several promises and bought a ProWave handpiece from unknown person to me in my market. I was directed to a UPS facility to pick up what was supposed to be a newer handpiece. I picked it up and it took me an hour just to clean up this handpiece that was obviously older and had a lot of usage. I plugged it in and it has nothing but error codes. Keep in mind I had to plug into my Cutera XEO that was not purchased from Laser Outlet because that piece of crap doesn't work. I sent the handpiece fedex to Juan and he promised to rebuild and send to me but to date nothing. Juan has been promising for months to send a tech to fix my XEO which will never happen. These guys are absolutely dishonest and should be prosecuted. I am done dealing with them and need any contact information available for any attorneys or local authorities that have been contacted by anyone else that has been defrauded by these individuals.

Interesting how Sam was initially responsive then disappeared under the withering barrage of complaints.

We contacted laserrepairdepot.com regarding one of our lasers, a Dornier SkinPulse S that we originally purchased for about $80,000. It was working and had low hours but the fluency was weakening. Laser Repair Depot suggested a couple of minor maintenance steps that they believed would probably resolve the problem. The fee they quoted for this service seemed reasonable.

I then made an enormous mistake; I sent my laser to them. After several weeks and a payment of over $2,500, I received the laser back. It was broken.

The first thing I noticed was that they had used crumpled up paper as packing. This laser weighs around 50 pounds and the wads of paper did not prevent it from shifting. I later found an indentation in the back of the case. What other damage bouncing around may have caused I don't know. In any case, on power up the machine was unstable, the screen spontaneously transitioning through random displays. We called Laser Repair Depot, but they were unable to troubleshoot the problem on the phone. They had us send the machine back.

A few weeks later, the machine came back. It was more properly packed for shipping this time, but the door safety interlock would not disengage so the laser could not be fired. We had never had this problem before. Unable to get it working, Laser Repair Depot had us send it back again.

The third time the laser came back, the interlock was fixed, but the machine was completely useless. Relays clicked on and off chaotically, the laser warning buzzer sounded off at arbitrary intervals, multiple error messages flashed by, and the screen was a churning kaleidoscope of randomness.

I called Laser Repair Depot again, they were clueless. They had no idea what was wrong. Not only did they not offer to do what would need to be done to successfully complete the repairs I paid for, they didn't even offer to do whatever is necessary to return the machine to the state it was in when it was originally shipped to them. Oh, and no refund. They took nearly three thousand dollars to "repair" our laser and in the end we were left with an $80,000 doorstop.

Before you do any business with Laser Repair Depot, yiou may want to watch a video of my laser operating after they "repaired" it here: www.laserrepairdepotsucks.com

Good Afternoon,

I have know Sam Lehrer for 5 years, and worked for and with him for some of that time. I have seen him in both the good and the rough times. I can honestly say that the Sam I know now is the best Sam I have ever known. I know Sam has had his challenges, and at times also frustrated me, but I also know he is a good person, and determined to focus on growing and improving. None of us are perfect.

Other than my observation of his attitude, and new customer feedback, the reason for my change of heart is that when things got difficult for me both professionally and personally , few people were there to help me, but he stepped right up without hesitation after not speaking for several years. Out of a list of friends, family, and professional contacts he was the least I would have expected to help me, but he has... repeatedly. Yes I would even recommend him now, as in the past I would have been more reticent.

I am unsure what impact this letter will have, but I know that my negative reviews in the past were effective, and I hope a positive review will be as well.

If anybody has been hurt by Sam Lehrer, or any dealer, for that matter, and would like some professional help in correcting the issue with your device, please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to mitigate your costs, but in the past I have also been able to convince the offending party to help with the cost of repair. If there is a legitimate complaint I can help with I am more than certain Sam would do what he could to make it right.

Respectfully,

I have worked with Sam for many years, and he has been great to us. We've bought several machines from him, rented machines from him, and we have also had most of our service and repairs done by him or his techs. He's been great to us over the years, and we continue to work with him to this day. Nothing's perfect in this industry and with used equipment but he has always come through for us, and he's a pretty decent human being.
