The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) has announced that Richard Price has joined the Association as Vice President of Payment and Health Care Delivery Policy.

"Richard is a highly regarded health policy expert and we are pleased he is joining our team. He has had a distinguished career and his strong knowledge of complex health care legislation and policy will be a great asset to AdvaMed and our member companies," said Ann-Marie Lynch, Executive Vice President for Payment and Health Care Delivery Policy.

Price most recently served as Legislative and Health Policy Consultant with Hart Health Strategies, where he advised clients on a variety of Medicare reimbursement issues. Before joining Hart Health Strategies, Price worked for the Congressional Research Service (CRS) where he served as Section Head for the Health Care and Medicine Section and as a senior Medicare/Medicaid analyst. There he worked directly with congressional staff to provide analysis on a wide range of health issues before the Congress, including directing and authoring work for the Ways and Means Committee's "Green Book" and the Energy and Commerce Committee's "Yellow Book."

Price earned his master's degree from The Johns Hopkins' School of International Studies and his bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University.
