Kalamazoo, Mich. - Martinson Arnan, MD, MS, MPA, FAAN, has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Physician Executive for the Bronson Healthcare system. He most recently served as Bronson Medical Group’s Chief Clinical Officer and Bronson Healthcare’s VP of Community Health Advancement Dr. Martinson Arnan.

In this new role, Arnan is responsible for leadership and oversight of clinical care and strategy, business operations, quality and safety across the regional system. This includes acute care, employed and affiliated medical practices, ambulatory care, post-acute care, clinical programs, and clinical ancillary support services. He also serves as a liaison between Bronson’s internal and external stakeholders such as system executives, medical staff, and nursing leadership, as well as affiliated institutions, and strategic partners. He is an active member of Bronson’s Unified Medical Staff and is on the faculty at the WMU Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine, Department of Medicine.

Arnan joined Bronson Neuroscience Center in 2015 as a vascular neurologist and went on to serve the system in several leadership roles, both clinical and administrative. These include Managing Physician for Neurology, Medical Director for Bronson’s Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Vice Chief of Staff for Bronson Methodist Hospital. During the last four years under his leadership as Chief Clinical Officer for Bronson Medical Group, Bronson practices achieved over one million annual patient visits and over 90% of patients rated their provider at five stars, well above the 70% national average.

Dr. Arnan received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and earned a Master of Public Administration Degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School through the prestigious Zuckerman Fellowship. He did his medical internship at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He completed both his residency in Neurology and a fellowship in Vascular Neurology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Clinical and Population Translation Sciences from Wake Forest University.
