Mount Sinai doctors opens new cardiology location in Brooklyn

New York, NY (April 6, 2021)- Mount Sinai Doctors has opened its first cardiology location in Brooklyn, New York, with a team of highly skilled physicians, nurses, technicians, medical assistants and cardiac services. Mount Sinai Doctors-Brooklyn, Cardiology is 5,000 square feet and located at 1977 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn.

The new state-of-the-art Mount Sinai Doctors-Brooklyn, Cardiology offers patients onsite cardiac testing, such as electrocardiogram (ECG), cardiac stress testing, nuclear imaging and stress testing, arrhythmia monitoring, carotid Doppler testing and vascular testing.

Additionally, Mount Sinai Doctors-Brooklyn, Cardiology is offering same-day appointments, extended hours, easy scheduling, ample parking and welcoming waiting areas.

"Residents of Brooklyn will now have access to high-quality and innovative cardiology services at one outpatient location," said Arthur A. Klein, MD, President of the Mount Sinai Health Network. "The launch of this new practice will provide Brooklyn residents with local, quality and compassionate heart care—all without crossing a bridge. Mount Sinai Doctors-Brooklyn, Cardiology is bringing the expertise of Mount Sinai Heart to southern Brooklyn and is meeting a real need in this neighborhood, while also providing residents of this community with an extended health care network that they can trust and believe in."

According to Barry Huppert, MD, Medical Director, Mount Sinai Doctors-Brooklyn, Cardiology, and Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology), Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the communities of central Brooklyn have a significant need for interventional heart care and treatment services, especially with nearly one million residents living in nearby neighborhoods.

The cardiac team at Mount Sinai Doctors-Brooklyn, Cardiology will consist of three full-time cardiologists, one nurse practitioner, a nuclear technician, and a team of support staff.
