The second Conference on Hybrid Imaging Live (CHILI 2.0), which took place on October 25, saw an increase in the number of people tuning in for the virtual meeting in comparison to last year's debut meeting. A total of 4,064 people registered for CHILI 2.0 compared to 3,515 last year, representing an increase of 16 percent.

The conference, which was organised by the European Society of Hybrid, Molecular and Translational Imaging (ESHIMT) and the European Society of Radiology (ESR) was broadcast live from the new state-of-the-art ESR studio in Vienna. Over the course of a fully packed day of lectures, roundtable discussions and interactive Q&As, hybrid imaging experts from Europe and North America delved into a programme of informative and engaging sessions.

All sessions were tailored to varying degrees of expertise and interests, ascending in their level of complexity as the day progressed and were moderated by professional moderator, Mélisande Rouger. The round table discussions and the opportunity for viewers to ask their questions live to the experts added to the engaging format of the conference and ensured that debates were lively and interesting. The programme was complemented by short videos of international hybrid imaging sites and statements of hybrid imaging ambassadors.

President of ESHIMT, Prof. Thomas Beyer, who took part in the conference, stated, "I'm delighted with the turnout at this year's event; it is fantastic to see so many people engaged in hybrid imaging. The advantages of CHILI's highly accessible online format are obvious and palatable to people from all around the world. Today, we were able to offer this event free of charge to more and more people all over the world, giving everyone with a passion for hybrid imaging the opportunity to participate and learn. I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to the organisers, the team behind the scenes and you, as the audience who made this conference such a success."

Leading the way in modern congress delivery, ESHIMT and ESR are embracing the global shift to find greener and more sustainable congress formats through their organisation of online educational events such as CHILI 2.0.

All lectures from CHILI 2.0 will shortly be available on ESR Connect for those who missed the conference or wish to re-watch all the highlights.
