MIAMI, Nov. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Premier Radiology Services, a leader in Radiology and Teleradiology, announced the appointment of Jonathan S. Luchs, M.D., F.A.C.R., to the newly created position of Chief Medical Officer for Premier. Dr. Luchs began his time with Premier as one of the Medical Directors. When he joined Premier, he brought his experience as a leading radiologist with a specialty in Musculoskeletal Radiology, and quickly showed the extent of his value and was invited to become a partner in the firm. Dr. Luchs will continue to be the physician liaison to the marketing and business development team in addition to his new responsibilities as CMO.

Dr. Luchs started his Radiology career in academic medicine teaching, doing research and presenting. Dr. Luchs has published books and research papers, presented at national medical conferences, and won numerous awards. He trained as a fellow at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. While there, his training included all modalities of musculoskeletal/orthopedic/spine images as well as Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. He brought his talent and knowledge of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound to the community and has helped to bring it to the national stage with his research and his teachings. He taught Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at a local ultrasound technologist school for several years and was an instructor of the Society of Skeletal Radiology Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course for several years. Dr. Luchs moved from academics to the private sector and dedicates his time to patient care and business development.
