Robert Garment is retiring

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | April 26, 2017
Robert joined DOTmed in 2004 when we were just five years old. He helped us to improve the look and feel of our website to make it more user-friendly and easier to use.

He was the first editor of our online news and the first editor of our print magazine.

Robert was in charge of our marketing department for a time and organized all of our tradeshows and media partnerships.

He was like everybody's uncle and whenever there was a problem that no one could solve they turned to Robert.

He has 1,001 corny sayings and an expression or analogy for every imaginable situation.

He created advertising designs and copywriting for hundreds of companies that utilize our website.

Robert is an avid windsurfer, he's a great chef (even if some of the things he cooked stunk up the office) and a voracious reader.

Robert deserves a lot of credit for a lot of things and to whatever extent we are successful Robert deserves some of the credit.

He will be greatly missed and we wish him all the best in his retirement.

Good luck in retirement

April 27, 2017 04:39

Robert and I have worked together for 8 years. He's always been a pleasure to work with on the many, many projects we collaborated on in the past, and has always put up with me. He introduced me to Fire Island and the concept of bringing lunch and making Coffee in the office, rather then spending a lot of money everyday! I know he will be missed in the office but I also know he is very much looking forward to the next phase of his life and wish him all the best in the future. I'm sure I will see him on the beach on Fire Island some day windsurfing.

Robert is a one of a kind individual who always knew just what to say and how to say it.
And nobody else cooks like Robert does. I know this because his prepared lunch from home was always so deliciously fragrant.
I will miss you Roberto!

Wishing Robert Garment all the best

April 28, 2017 10:42

Robert, I can't believe how the time has gone by. You were with us when we were just starting out and it's hard for me to imagine DOTmed without you here. You've contributed so much not least of all the fun conversations we've had. I hope that you really enjoy your retirement and finally get to write that Great American novel! I'm looking forward to reading it. Best of luck in all things!

Thank you for your message on Friday Robert, I'm sorry I missed you - I was out of the office visiting family of the weekend. Enjoy your retirement! Windsurfing, huh? You're ready to raft the Colorado River.
