August 26, 2016
Mary Logan
From the August 2016 issue of HealthCare Business News magazine
Mary Logan, the esteemed president of AAMI, announced almost a year ago that she would retire at the end of 2016. And earlier this year, in the May issue of HealthCare Business News magazine, we paid a well-deserved tribute to Mary, whose seven-year run as the president of AAMI has been exemplary.

Whoever the incoming president is, he or she will be joining AAMI at a time of great change and opportunity for those in health care technology management. The profession has evolved significantly with an ever growing IT component that HTM people need to master. • Collaborate with the Executive Committee and board to build AAMI’s strategic direction.
• Develop, implement and monitor progress of the business plans to ensure effective execution of the plans.
• Continue to cultivate and expand the reach and reputation while developing a strategy to define the reputation for which AAMI desires to be known.
• Attract, retain, motivate and develop AAMI’s strong staff team and culture.
• Maintain AAMI’s strong financial position by balancing programs that meet customer needs with AAMI’s financial resources. More importantly, the profile outlines a vision for the leadership of AAMI: someone who is eager to take charge and make AAMI an even more valuable asset to its membership. The search team believes that matching the leadership profile and having a solid executive-level background are more important than where the individual comes from. We expect the announcement of Mary’s successor sometime this fall. Stay tuned.
