UVC Technology Disinfector
Daylight Medical has introduced the MoonBeam3 Disinfection Technology, a practical innovation proven to decrease germs contributing to hospital-acquired infections (HAIs). In a 180-second cycle, MoonBeam3 achieves a 3-5 log reduction (99.9 to 99.999 percent) in pathogens such as MRSA, VRE, MDR-gram negative, Norovirus and C.diff spores. The automated technology is designed for seamless integration into the demanding workflow of Environmental Services (EVS) departments, providing rapid and effective room cleans. MoonBeam3’s portable, compact form factor houses three individually adjustable UVC heads, each generating a broad umbrella of intense, 254 nanometer wavelength germicidal light. The articulating heads can be positioned vertically and horizontally from one foot off the ground to more than seven feet high. Users can also select three-, five- and 10-minute applications.

To meet the challenge of critical tube securement, 3M introduces 3M Multipore Dry Surgical Tape, a specialized tape that provides reliable, long-lasting adhesion even under moist conditions. Designed for use primarily in intensive care units, Multipore Dry tape can adhere to wet skin for up to 72 hours. Its elastic backing allows it to conform to all contours and curves of the body and to accommodate movement, breathing and swelling. The elastic backing is also non-irritating and soft-to-skin. Additionally, Multipore Dry is the only critical tube securement tape on the market featuring a grid liner backing, which helps clinicians precisely customize the size and shape. These attributes can improve clinicians’ confidence in a longer-lasting and more comfortable tube securement for their patients, while reducing the frequency of disruptive tape reapplication.
