Orbit Medical Technologies, Joliet, Ill., specializes in the sales, service and refurbishing of diagnostic imaging systems including CT, MRI, Mammography, Mobile X-ray, Radiography and Fluoroscopy equipment. "We have customers in South America that just purchase equipment from us and they handle the installation at their end," Alfaqeeh said. "Most of our clients in Asia are mainly companies that are doing the same type of business but over there in their own local market. Being an American company here in Chicago we have access to better equipment or updated equipment that comes out on our American market that we would be able to purchase and fix up and refurbish and put it right back into the used market."

He noted that government hospitals overseas often have the funds to buy new equipment so the private sector remains the company's chief market.
