Neil Little
DOTmed News has learned that Neil Little of US Med-Equip Inc. has died.

Little was killed in a car accident on Feb. 7 in Fargo, North Dakota, where he lived. He was 62.

Little was in the used medical equipment business for decades, most recently in the capacity of manager for the sales and service division at US Med-Equip in Fargo.

Little’s supervisor at US Med-Equip, Gurmit Bhatia, told DOTmed’s Phil Jacobus that Little was a gentleman and a family man.

Bhatia remembers how Little had extended credit to Bhatia’s company immediately after Hurricane Katrina. Bhatia said he knew that he was not going to be paid on time but Little felt that he and his family were fortunate and that it was his responsibility to help people in need. He sent monitoring equipment to Bhatia on a handshake because “that is the sort of man he was.”

Bhatia said that whether it was a vendor or a customer, people trusted Little. He was a man of his word and was respected in the industry and in his community.

Bhatia mentioned how much he learned about leadership from Little. He thought Little was one of the most honorable business people he has ever had the pleasure to meet or work with.

Jacobus said that he believes that every industry can brag about people like Little. “I always felt good whenever I saw Neil at a show and I know he will be missed.”

According to Clint Courson of Quest Medical Supply, Little died at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota, a hospital he had been calling on just minutes before.

"He was a great man, whom I have had the pleasure to know for over 20 years, and a pillar of our industry. People who knew him, will miss him," said Courson.

He leaves behind his wife Mona, daughters Mckensie, Alexandra, and Madison, his son Logan, his mother Ethel, and sisters, Linda and Kay (and Brody).

More information about his funeral can be found here.
