The hospital was looking for a solution that would provide workflow technology to help streamline the patient care process across the enterprise, including physician offices, outpatient and inpatient settings. The deal builds on previously installed Siemens components such as Siemens Pharmacy/Med Administration Check™ (MAK), NOVIUS® Lab, and syngo® Workflow. T.J. Samson will also completely automate the health IT solution in Siemens private, medical-grade cloud. They will tap Siemens to completely manage all aspects of the deployment through the company's Managed Services IT Outsourcing business.

Finally, two Missouri hospitals that would ordinarily find themselves in a competitive position have recently connected to deliver a coordinated electronic health record solution to area providers. Recognizing the value of migrating to enterprise health IT, Southeast Hospital, Cape Girardeau, Mo., a 280-bed acute-care facility that is part of Southeast HEALTH, and Missouri Delta Medical Center, a 162-bed not-for-profit corporation based in Sikeston, Mo., recently purchased a Soarian enterprise suite including Soarian Clinicals, Soarian EDM/HIM, Siemens Pharmacy, MAK, NOVIUS Lab, Soarian Quality Measures and syngo Workflow.
