Malvern, Pa., -- Today, Siemens Healthcare announced that the company is continuing its strong momentum with additional community-hospital purchases of the SoarianĀ® enterprise health information system. Across the country, these healthcare providers are turning to Siemens and Soarian to help them connect people to connect care for their communities. Siemens can deliver an enterprise-wide health information technology (IT) solution for community hospitals that has the potential for agile implementation, improved caregiver affinity through advanced IT solutions and embedded workflow management, plus tools to remotely manage all aspects of hardware and implementation through Siemens secure, medical-grade cloud. These capabilities work to speed the time to value of health IT as Siemens partners with the customers to achieve their broad organizational goals, which are key goals of Agenda 2013, a global initiative of the Siemens Healthcare Sector to increase competitiveness and expand in emerging markets.

Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC), Honolulu, recently finalized a contract to implement a full Soarian suite of clinical and financial applications across 10 public hospitals. The dynamic and seamless exchange of patient information will support enhanced care continuity and quality on the Hawaiian Islands. The full Soarian enterprise suite including Soarian Clinicals and Soarian Financials will be implemented in the West Hawaii, Maui, Oahu and Kauai Regions of HHSC.

Samson Community Hospital, is a 175-bed hospital in Glasgow, Ky., that recently signed an agreement with Siemens to utilize Soarian Clinicals and Soarian Financials, along with Soarian Electronic Document Management/Health Information Management (EDM/HIM), Soarian Quality Reporting Service, and ePrescribing. These solutions will serve as an electronic foundation for a new stage of hospital expansion. During the next five years, administration at T.J. Samson expect to add more physicians who will be working in a new healthcare pavilion set to open in January 2013.
