David Russell, the vice president of marketing and CMO of the Healthcare Informatics and Patient Monitoring division of Philips Healthcare, spoke with DOTmed News at this year's HIMSS conference about the division's new identity, IntelliSphere.

IntelliSphere conveys - literally - the sphere of intelligent informatics surrounding a patient who is receiving care. This re-branding is an effort to show that the division's products "fulfill the strategic intent" of the business, Russell explains in the video.
The Healthcare Informatics and Patient Monitoring division also announced a collaboration with Microsoft and its SharePoint telemedicine application, which is used in many intensive care units.
