The Middle East's largest gathering of health care professionals is taking place through today in Dubai, UAE. The Arab Health Exhibition and Congress is one of the world's most important health care exhibitions.

With the Middle East health care sector continuing to enjoy robust growth despite the global downturn, more companies than ever are exhibiting at Arab Health this year in their search for new business, according to the event organizers.

The gathering includes 2,700 exhibitors, with DOTmed.com among them.

"From one end of the show to the other, the DOTmed team was not able to find an exhibitor that was unhappy with the show," DOTmed Project Manager Mike Johns reports from the event. "The flow of solid prospects is continuing and unofficially it seems that companies will leave the show with solid opportunities that will develop into new business."

Arab Health is truly
an international show

Some highlights this year include GE's free mobile mammography exams, evening outdoor parties hosted by a variety of manufacturers, and an overall good mood among both attendees and exhibitors, Johns says.

The event kicked off with a flourish Monday as HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, VP and PM of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai toured the Dubai World Trade Centre.
