and installation division

Nationwide Imaging Services, one of the nation's largest independent resellers of imaging equipment, announced Wednesday that the company would be operating a new servicing and installation division, Nationwide Medical Equipment Services, LLC.

The company can now dispatch a technician out to anywhere in the U.S. for service of a wide range of equipment, from radiographic to MR systems, with service agreements for ongoing technical support. Nationwide has also expanded their facilities in Brick, NJ. Renovations will open up the current storage facility to 17,700 square feet of warehousing upon completion.

"We now have service engineers across the country to set up, deinstall, reinstall and provide service for our customers," Nationwide senior vice president Rob Manetta told DOTmed. "This should increase our business, because we won't have to subcontract crews for those services."

Nationwide intends to use the facilities to expand their international business by providing refurbishing, in-house storage, staging and crating of equipment. In addition, a new fleet of air-ride trucks is now under Nationwide's network. Manetta remarked that he foresees the new division expanding their scope of business throughout Latin America and India.

"This will also improve the buying ability for our clients and make it a lot easier and less stressful for them," he said. "Now when something gets delivered to India, for example, we can provide complete quality assurance."
