Peak Flow Meter

A peak flow meter is a medical device used to measure the peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR) of a person's breath. It is most commonly used to monitor asthma, but can also be used to measure other respiratory conditions. The peak flow meter measures the speed of air as it is exhaled from the lungs and is expressed in liters per minute (LPM).
