The Indicating Pointer is used to set the Flow Setting and should be turned to "OFF" when not in use and a dial that can be turned to the numbered flow setting of your choice.
The Flow Settings are: OFF, .50, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 15.
