The Smith & Nephew 400 Insufflator is the only insufflator with TAP, which delivers warmed CO2 gas during laparoscopic surgery without an external control unit. Warmed gas is delivered through a unique inline mechanism in close proximity to the patient for maximum effectiveness. Additional safety feature prevents inadvertent changes in gas flow rate and abdominal pressure during the procedure.
•In-line insufflator gas warming capability is provided through one or two parts.
•A stop safety feature prevents intra-abdominal pressure from exceeding 15 mmHg.
•A TAP feature acts as an independent abdominal pressure monitoring line.
