RS SOMATOM Perspective
The new SOMATOM Perspective is the first high-end CT scanner that addresses the business requirements of modern healthcare without compromising clinical results. The business class CT scanner is loaded with innovative technologies designed to manage the financial performance while expanding the clinical portfolio - with added comfort and ease.
The unique eCockpit extends the scanner's lifespan by preventing unnecessary wear and tear and reduces overheads by minimizing energy consumption.
The scanner has an ultra-modern slim gantry design, UFC detector system, and 0.6 s gantry rotation time for high quality efficient CT imaging. With its unique Interleaved Volume Reconstruction (IVR), the system has been designed to detect even the smallest diagnostic details by using the information of 128 slices. The resulting data records are ideally suited for 2D/3D post processing.
SOMATOM Perspective is a high-end CT scanner for an optimized return-on-investment. Its compact design allows installation in a space as small as 18.5m². This and the fact that the SOMATOM Perspective is an air-cooled system, keep life-cycle costs low.
A large variety of advanced clinical applications enable a wide range of diagnostic possibilities for referring physicians.

RS Foot Switch for Patient Table control
Foot Switch to control the motion (moving in and out) of the patient table, with vertical and horizontal movement.
RS Mattress with Spill Protection
The mattress has wide flaps and offers additional protection by preventing liquids spilling into the table by covering the gaps between tabletop and the table base. Small objects like cannulas are also prevented from falling into the gaps. This mattress is ideal for trauma and acute care settings as well as all customers caring for the safety of their equipment.

RS Illumination Mood light Cover
The Illumination Mood light is integrated in the cover of the scanner and can be easily adjusted on the scanner console to personal preference for more comfort. The user can choose a setting that changes the color of the light dynamically throughout the day, or a single color that harmonizes best with the room environment.

Expert-I enables the physician to interact with the syngo Acquisition Workplace from virtually anywhere in your hospital.
RS HeartView Calcium Scoring Package
Clinical application package used with the SOMATOM CT scanner for optimized ECG-controlled data acquisition / image reconstruction and evaluation of cardiac data sets for the quantification of coronary calcifications.
The package comprises:
- HeartView CT on the Navigator console for ECG-controlled acquisition and reconstruction of artifact-free images of the heart.
- syngo(r) Calcium Scoring evaluation software for quantification of coronary calcifications.
- iTRIM for a temporal resolution as low as 195 ms.
- ECG Check for optimal scan mode selection at a given heart rate
The package includes hardware and software components, with ECG device integrated in the CT gantry. The use of the software of this option is restricted to a single system unit.
RS Vascular Plus CT
With the Vascular Plus CT all scan protocols in the folder Vascular and some scan protocols in the folder Head (Sinus, SinusVol, Orbit) and Specials (HeadTrauma, HeadTraumaSeq) will run with faster scan times.
RS DoseMAP
DoseMAP - Siemens CT Dose Management Program - creates transparency in dose values and makes it possible to assess the dose situation. It improves security by setting dose alerts. DoseMAP has three components for complete and comprehensive dose management: Report, Analyze, and Protect.
RS Interleaved Volume Reconstruction
With its unique Interleaved Volume Reconstruction (IVR), the system has been designed to detect even the smallest diagnostic details by using the information of 128 slices. IVR uses all available data at any pitch and improves spatial resolution for specific examinations. An automatic, optimized selection of reconstruction parameters are implemented for the dedicated 128-slice protocols.

Immediate, organ-based setting of scan and recon ranges aiming for a safer, faster and more standardized workflow at the scanner
RS FAST Positioning
Touch panel integrated in the gantry cover. Eases patient positioning by using pre-defined patient table positions for all frequent examinations.
RS FAST kV
Helps the user by displaying available kV settings based on patient habitus. Once kV is set for a dedicated
patient, mAs will be automatically adapted to keep the right correlation between these scan parameters.
This assures that dose levels will be maintained, minimizing user dependent errors.
RS FAST Wizard
Supports daily routine with short tutorial videos displayed directly in the user interface about how to optimize scanner workflow and clinical outcome. Provides immediate help on day-to-day tasks at the CT scanner.
RS WorkStream 4D
WorkStream 4D further enhances the already superb workflow of the SOMATOM Perspective CT system by offering direct generation of sagittal, coronal, oblique or double-oblique reconstructed images directly from CT raw data as part of the CT protocol.
RS Iterative Reconstruction
As a standard of high-quality imaging the SOMATOM Perspective now automatically comes with the latest available iterative reconstruction algorithm for the respective system, directly integrated into the CT scanner. No additional hardware is needed to support the fast image reconstruction. By default, advanced protocols utilizing the outstanding iterative reconstruction are available for a broad spectrum of applicational fields, such as head, abdomen, extremities, coronary CTA and angiography scans. The iterative reconstruction enables significant dose reduction by utilizing iterative loops in image data space and raw data space (SAFIRE algorithm). Depending on the detector width the new software syngo CT VC40 for SOMATOM Perspective features an advanced iterative reconstruction with model-based technology (available only on SOMATOM Perspective 64 and 128 slice configuration). This allows you to always set the right dose for your patients at low absolute values. Image noise can be reduced while maintaining image quality and detail visualization.
RS iMAR
The iMAR metal artifact reduction algorithm combines three successful approaches (beam hardening correction, normalized sinogram inpainting and frequency split). This allows to reduce metal artifacts caused by metal implants such as coils, metal screws and plates, dental fillings or implants.
iMAR is compatible with extended FoV, the extended CT scale as well as the newest dose reduction feature.
Along with the new algorithm comes the simple user interface of iMAR enabling easy reconstruction of clinical images with reduced metal artifacts.
iMAR can be combined with iterative reconstruction methods.
RS Extended Field of View #AWP
Software program with special reconstruction algorithms that allow for visualization of objects using a FOV up to 70 cm (non-diagnostic image quality). License to use software on a single unit.
RS Table Extension
Used for extending the patient table for feet-first patient positioning and extra-long exam length, e. g. femoral run-off. Removable cover.
RS Head and Arm Support
The head and arm support can freely be placed at any position on the patient table or patient table extension. It is used during e. g. chest and abdominal examinations to comfortably position patient's head and arms.
RS Tiltable Head Holder
Tiltable head holder for the fixation of the patient's head. Tilt range between +30 till - 15 degree.
Surge Protective Device (SPD)
CT Slicker
Thermoseal seams and flaps deflect fluids, reducing contaminant penetration into the cushion and table. Contaminants are retained on the tabletop or shunted to the floor. Cleanup is faster, more thorough, and contaminant build-up is reduced.
Built using heavy, clear, micro matte vinyl, and top-grade hook and loop fastening strips (Velcro) to better fit the specified table. Custom vinyl resists tears and minimizes radiologic interference. Latex free. Set includes CT Skirts.
