If you're like me, this isn't a terribly busy time for you and you're reviewing everything you've done for the last 12 months.

What have you done correctly and what have you done incorrectly? What can you learn from your mistakes and are there things you should do 2017 that worked well for you in 2016?

Gus Iversen, our Daily News Editor, has prepared our top 10 stories of 2016. I think you'll enjoy this. You might remember something you had forgotten and you might be surprised to see how you much you agree with our opinion.

Ask yourself what you can learn from the past. Not just you but our country, our government and our health care delivery system. And will we learn? Perhaps that's the even bigger question.

Next week I'll be giving you my predictions about what will be the hot stories and the topics to keep your eye on in 2017. Watch for that because I think you enjoy it.

Have a happy new year — don't drink and drive!
